Enabling universal access to UBC Library’s vast collections demands a top-notch technological platform. The highest demand for library materials and services takes place in the technological realm – for example, e-books, e-journals and other electronic resources are accessed by the UBC community 24/7. Last year, more than 6.3 million articles were viewed online, while the Library website received more than 5.6 million hits. Technology also supports millions of in-person visits at the Library. In 2009, it supported more than three million in-person visits to the Library, connecting students and scholars with Library collections and services.
